Transforming Experiences for Faithful Disciples

From Urbana Theological Seminary, I have gained more of a desire for Biblical knowledge, how to tell Bible stories to help encourage those who may be seeking knowledge about the God I serve, how to be shaped by God’s word, how to connect with people when speaking about God, and how to grow my relationship with the Lord.

UTS is a remarkable jewel, not only within Champaign County, but also well beyond, as it now offers many courses online, as well as sponsors extended visits to Biblically historic locations across the Middle East at large.

Greater knowledge of cultural apologetics: I took several courses about this subject matter in the course of my program at UTS (interest in the subject was what initially drew me to UTS).  I was able to acquire an understanding of the history of apologetics, the “key players” in the 20th century in this discipline, as well as develop my own approach to engaging with people outside the Christian community as well as training “insiders” to undertake this type of activity.
